Two weeks ago, he emptied a swimming pool and flexed the lumbar while picking up an object, causing a frozen lumbar. He experienced aggravated low back pain with stiffness during a one-hour daily drive to work. He woke up with less pain in the morning, but it became aggravated as soon as he got in the car. Much stretching and rest only helped slightly.

치료: 상양, 족통곡, 족임읍, 양곡, 족삼리 금수목화토 순서의 오른쪽 양천부혈 금형으로 처음 2회 시술을 해도 통증 완화가 없었습니다. 3번째 시술에서 목화토금수형을 사용하니 통증이 약간 완화되었습니다. 네 번째 시술 이후부터는 매일 조금씩 통증이 완화되었습니다. 다섯 번째 시술 이후, 요통이 계속 완화되었으나 요추의 심한 관절염이 X선으로 확인되었습니다. 일곱번째 방문 후, 환자는 전반적으로 80-90%의 완화를 보고, 여섯 번째 방문 이후에는 더 많은 완화를 경험했습니다.
토의: 환자가 심한 관절염을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고, 높은 침구 반응성이 있어 계속적인 요통 개선이 가능했다. Treatment: The first two treatments with right side Yang Horary points in Metal-Order of LI1, UB66, GB41, SI5, and ST36 did not provide any relief. A switch to Wood-Order points in the third treatment resulted in a slight reduction in pain. After the fourth treatment, the patient experienced incremental daily improvement in low back pain. The fifth treatment was followed by an X-ray of the lumbar, which showed severe arthritis, but the low back pain continued to improve. The patient reported an overall 80-90% relief after the seventh visit, and even more relief after the sixth visit. Discussion: Despite having severe arthritis, the patient's high reactivity to acupuncture allowed for continual improvement in their low back pain.
